Dedicated to the preservation, restoration and operation of transit vehicles in Southern Arizona
All of OPT’s streetcars, buses and other SATM railroad equipment are stored/preserved/restored/displayed at the Transit Museum and Operation Center. In addition, the center houses OPT’s library and archives, and certain educational displays on streetcar & bus history.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Street Railway Division restores, maintains and operates historic streetcars.
The Archives preserves documents and artifacts related to southern Arizona transportation history.
The Bus Division restores and maintains examples of transit buses from Southern Arizona cities and displays them at community events.
The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum is our sister museum dedicated to the history of railroads in southern Arizona.
